What happens during a documentary family session?
A documentary family session is an authentic, real representation of how your family exists at this very moment. No posing, no matching outfits, no stressing over cooperating kiddos, just be your normal selves!
Should we plan a specific type of activity?
You don’t need to plan anything! Your session can literally be a normal weekend day of meal prep, walk to the neighborhood park, or doing yard work. All those little moments you feel like are mundane are actually full of important family memories.
What should we wear?
That’s the beauty of a documentary family session, you can wear whatever you want! No need to stress over coordinating outfits or matching colors. Do the kids always wear pjs on Sunday mornings, great! Let’s capture them in their element!
What if our kids need a break?
To me, a break isn’t really a break, it’s just a different moment of your day. I’m going to photograph all of it, from the craziness through the 10 snack breaks our kids need throughout the day!
Will you take any posed photos of our family?
Of course! While the focus will be on capturing real moments you all share, I know we all want a couple of photos for our yearly holiday cards or to send to grandma.
